During 2008 the band took a break for a year as Mark (bass) and Howard (drums) had to serve in Taiwan's armed forces. In 2009 Electric Q got back together and performed at the "Spring Scream" Festival in Kenting. Shortly after, Delphine left the band and was subsequently replaced by Rock.
The group continued to practice and perform regularly after that, making their first TV appearance in the "Super Band" music contest at 中天電視 (Zhong-Tian Television Station) in October 2009.
Eventually Mark had to move to Xinchu because of his work and Bryan took over as the new bass-man bringing the group to its current line-up.
